The Jet Express fleet is not your normal, conventional ferry boat fleet. It is a sleek, modern designed, ocean approved, high-speed, catamaran fleet of passenger-only ferry vessels. The Jet Express, Jet Express II, Jet Express III and Jet Express IV were designed in Australia, and built in the United States, in Somerset, Massachusetts, at the Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding Company. At close to 100 feet long and with nearly 4000 horsepower, the jets can travel in excess of 40 Miles Per Hour, making the trip to Put-in-Bay, OH and Kelleys Island, OH in less than 25 minutes.

Jet Express II
The Jet Express II was put into service in 1992 to satisfy the demand for service to Put-in-Bay, OH. A little longer than the Jet Express, the Jet Express II was also designed to be utilized as an excursion vessel, to make special excursions to places such as Cleveland, Detroit, Toledo, and Canada. To better deal with larger crowds the Jet Express II has a larger loading area, and more restrooms to deal with longer cruises, as well as a small increase in passenger capacity. The Jet Express II was re-powered in 2004 with state-of-the-art Deutz 620 diesel engines, with more power and better fuel economy, making it the most powerful vessel in our Fleet.
